Blind Luck Michael Savage, 29, says he got into a fight with neighbors in his Sacramento, Calif., apartment complex and, to escape them, jumped off his second-storey balcony and ran while shooting at the pursuers behind him. He ran into a nearby retirement complex screaming for help. “Unfortunately, he’s got a gun and he thinks people are chasing him,” says police Sgt. Justin Risley. “And he’s legally blind. So he fires a couple of shots down the hallway. Fortunately, he doesn’t hurt anybody.” Officers found no evidence anyone was ever chasing Savage. He was arrested on weapons charges.
