"From this hour I ordain myself loos'd of limits and imaginary lines, going where I list, my own master total and absolute, Listening to others, considering well what they say, Pausing, searching, receiving, contemplating, Gently, but with undeniable will, divesting myself of the holds that would hold me."

Walt Whitman (1819-92)

"When I look back now over my life and call to mind what I might have had simply for taking and did not take, my heart is like to break."

Rest In Peace

Another wonderful song by Aubree that I very much liked. This talented young composer has very little exposure so far, but I expect when she gets some better recording equipment and a larger audience, we'll be hearing from her from more than just a computer screen. She reminds me of myself at her age. But she's better :) And her voice certainly is!

Here's her comments and lyrics to this song:
-------------------------------------------
So... I'll be posting more songs, hence... This. So yeah, there ya go. I wrote a song.

I fall asleep
With you in my dreams
And every time I want to scream
But you hold my mouth closed
And say
Don't you worry babe
I'll hold you babe
Forever in my broken arms

Well I fall so fast
I can't break my speed
At all
No matter waht I do there'll alwasy be a consequence
And there's no excuse for these "accidents"

I'm searching for the right letters
To put into a sequence so you can see
You didn't have to be so cruel to me
I understand what you mean
But I can smell her perfume
From where you're sitting across the room
But you'll just say
Oh, it's yours babe
You're just confused babe
So what's there to say?

Well who are you now?
I don't know you anymore
At all
No matter what you say I know you love her more
And there's no fucking excuse for your absence anymore

And I guess I can't complain
Cos I'm just the same
I play the same game
As you play

Well my tears dry so fast
There's no difference between good or bad
At All
No matter what bullshit we pull we can't come clean
And there's always another thing we can blame

Tonight maybe I'll rest in peace
With you lying right next to me.
